Once again at 11am, I cried silent tears for the state of the world. ‘Lest we forget’, I fear that now those who fought fascism are largely gone, that the world is indeed forgetting, and so am deeply saddened and not a little frightened.

Loved the Weirdstone of Brisingamen. Happy 91st birthday to an inspirational author
Alan Garner is 91 today. A brilliant and unique author. His books have inspired and enchanted me since I read The Weirdstone of Brisingamen at the age of 11. Here is my treasured copy of Red Shift. The Le Guin quote on the cover is wholly accurate.

Yesterday President Donald Trump made comments amounting to the threat of ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from Gaza. I’ve written to the Foreign Secretary calling on him to summon the US Ambassador and make clear how unacceptable these proposals are.

Landscapers that lay astroturf profit from destroying your local ecosystem. Neither consumer or contractor pays the true cost of damages. Pavan Sukhdev calls this concept the "Economic Invisibility of Nature" and this is something that our Government need to start acknowledging.

Angered about decision not to compensate WASPI women, esp those reliant on state pension.
9m ago, parliamentary ombudsman recommended compensation of 1-2.9k for each of those affected, after 6y investigation Says BBC. Did they spend all the money on the investigation? #waspiwomen

Poor old Tenbury Wells again. Once it breaks its banks, there’s no stopping it and it happens so quickly. It’s a metaphor for #climatechange
Wales this weekend – climate collapse happening before our very eyes .

We need to get serious . It’s why I’m petitioning for a ban on fossil fuel ads .

This is not Valencia, this is the town Tenbury Wells UK. There are very real consequences for all of us of ignoring 40 years of warnings from NASA & the world’s leading scientists. Reminder: as the planet heats, the atmosphere holds more moisture meaning rainfall intensity increases. #climatechange

I can’t find ‘friends’ to follow on Bluesky. Is there a way to find who is on here from my contacts? (Might be none of course!) @bsky.app
