To be clear, this was not complaining about being forced to help with the cleaning. This was "mom is cleaning during a perfectly normal hour to be cleaning and it's making too much noise"

It's a rivalry because the two main characters are on different hockey teams. A quidditch version would require two players on different house quidditch teams. This is not 'Nam. This is romance trope 101. There are rules.

The tactic of "we thought of a complicated, clever reason why the good thing that works is Bad Actually" shows up *everywhere* these days, and I can't tell how much of it is people who desperately need to feel clever and how much is deliberate sabotage.

The musical is about Jonathan Larson feeling like his 30th birthday is a ticking time bomb and that life and his chance to make something of himself is slipping away from him. It became tragically ironic when Larson ended up dying at age 36 of an aortic dissection.
