Genuinely wild that the original draft had Picard with Cochran and Riker on the ship fighting the Borg, and it took Patrick Stewart pointing out the bleeding obvious for it to get reworked right before shooting.

So glad the first time I got to see it on the big screen was in imax. Just incredible.
Also had to keep biting my tongue because of my theory that Tim Robinson could be the lead in any Kubrick movie and it would still work.

The main advice Hanks had from working with Spielberg is be prepared, but also be prepared to have it all thrown out for a better idea. I kinda like to work that way myself; I want actors to bring me ideas and then work out the best way forward. I don’t care who has the good idea - it’s a good idea!

Hanks on The Post told all the other actors Spielberg doesn’t rehearse on set, so they all worked on the opening scene together, coming up with blocking ideas. Spielberg gets to set and decides the main focus of the oner would be the envelope moving through the office, showing none of the actors

I genuinely have no idea how these movies cost $300m+, and I’ve done multiple film budgets. I’d do anything to get my hands on a Marvel budget just to make my head explode and end it all.
