Im deeply conflicted about yesterday's Army 250th anniversary parade felt. On one hand, a chance to honor our soldiers, many seeing DC for the first time, celebrating their service. On the other, it was undeniably twisted into Trump's birthday ego-fest.

If Reva is badly written (spoiler alert: she isn't) then the entire show is. You can't have a badly written character at the centre of an incredibly great show. They think because they all repeat the same lines, everyone will assume it to be true. Kenobi is top tier for me.

Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT get your Post-Its, flipcharts, markers, singing bowls, vision decks, sticky dots, or linen tunics from Amazon this holiday season.
BREAKING: The biggest strike against Amazon in U.S. history is happening right now.

The Teamsters are picketing facilities across the country.

The union has organized workers at 10 Amazon locations AND they're putting up picket lines at hundreds of other Amazon sites nationwide.

We cannot win if voters get their news about Democrats from Republicans.

Our party needs to show up everywhere if we want to beat the GOP’s edge and reshape the information environment.

That means deploying great communicators to deliver effective messages – everywhere.

Ok. Who asked for a biopic about Bob Dylan?

What happens to the tchotchkes on your piano when you practice, for the first time in your life, the opening scroll music for the Throne Room music from A New Hope?

This.

The LPGA’s newly updated gender policies for 2025 are profoundly disappointing. By excluding transgender women who have undergone male puberty, the LPGA has chosen to prioritize outdated and exclusionary definitions of fairness over true inclusivity.

The incoming prez is a Bible-hawkin’, guitar-sellin’ convicted felon and dirty old man. How did we get here from Abraham Lincoln? 🤣

Next time you have an idea that seems too crazy, just remember that John Woo once walked into an office and said "I wanna make a movie where Nick Cage plays John Travolta playing Nick Cage, and John Travolta plays Nick Cage playing John Travolta," and someone wrote him a check for 80 million dollars

My “2024 Delivered” by Amazon Music (which is their version of unwrapped or whatever), the top song was Pecos Bill by Roy Rogers. Apparently I was in the top 4% of listeners on that service. WHO ARE THE OTHER 3%?!?!?

There’s no such thing as an original thought.

Mr. Remmy, from the Gilmore Girls (you know, the lit teacher), played by John Billingsley, is one didactic son of a gun.

Gonna do this tomorrow (or soon) for my birthday. Part of what I love about Star Wars: the moments when characters don’t know about the Force—like Luke Skywalker in his first scenes. It reminds me how vast the galaxy is, and that not everything has to revolve around the Jedi. 🌌
I watched The Acolyte & The Phantom Menace today. They flow in such a beautiful organic way haters are really missing out. Looks that characters give each other about "vergences" now have context. I grew up with the originals but I'm not interested in nostalgia. Star Wars is living & breathing. ✨🖖🤔✨

Social Media companies asked algorithms to increase engagement. It learned that negativity is more likely to cause an interaction than positivity. Do we all understand we're literally living through that legacy? We are the failed experiment. We are the all singing all dancing crap of the world.

“From a certain point of view”
When Luke remembers facing Ben, they both look vulnerable & afraid. When Ben remembers the same thing, he remembered Luke looking very angry. Rey imagined it differently still. We get this same thing in The Acolyte. Both are peak Star Wars. Absolute solid gold perfection.

I'll say it before as I've said it again: We do *not* want to annex Canada. Sure, it's the greatest country on earth - without question. But if you thought Texans were bad with their separatist tendancies, I present to you Qubecers with their French language and universal parental leave policies.

An option I've been a strong-proponent of for decades (and I think my record will bear that out): no flags.
Can college football really stop flag-planting?: For college sports leaders, the focus after a emotional final weekend is on how to stop the extracurriculars from happening again.
