Still just a boring but happy trans woman/mother/wife.
Over 40 and way behind but sprinting to catch up.
She/Her.
Terminally online since 2000
The other has been basically just letting a ton of things out on here, positive and negative, and just being more real about it.

Less calculated and worried about what I say and more true to myself.

That's been a big help. People can either accept me for who I am or move along.

my two go to resets are

1) Bubble bath + salts + candles and either Gilmore Girls or soft music

2) Smoke a bowl + Ear Pods in + Blast Music + Cleaning Spree

the first for relaxation and the second as a bit of control over my environment in a manageable way

I’m going to be blunt: I don’t think we need to have a discussion about the “nuance” of power imbalances when talking about a multi-millionaire who coerced his live-in nanny for sex.

This isn’t an isolated incident either, there are many other victims.

Yep and I think it is a pressure point that can be used very effectively amongst a lot of people that others may think are lost causes.

There's very few people who feel like they've personally had their lives improved even if they'll give positive polling to "the economy" or w/e

I also think the 2nd movie is a pretty decent follow up.

Again I love how they discover the new creatures aren't smarter just have predator vision.

Oh I would have a ball with this! I love classic b movies.

oh god yes and unlike most horror movies their actions actually make fucking sense.

they strategize, try something and adjust if it doesn't work. And when that doesn't work Burt is there with an even bigger gun.

Same kind of thing that makes people assume wealthy = smart/hard working.

They've bought into the false idea we're anywhere near a meritocracy

sometimes it is side by side bluesky because I get distracted but mostly I have my ultrawide setup for work on the right and other on the left

World sucks at letting good people be parents while letting the most heinous of them do so with no intervention.

Shit really sucks.

I'd love if I were listed correctly on kiddo's birth cert, hell it is hard enough to be open about being her mother in many places because of the reaction
February 3, 2026 at 7:10 PM
yeah that is NOT a reason to bring a person into the world in the first place

I feel like some kind of monster because I usually only have about 2-3 tabs open across two windows.

Especially if say it turns out to be a terrible person may have influenced your transition in some way.

Shit sucks when some of my influences from childhood have problematic AF actresses and singers behind them. Didn't know that at the time, doesn't change the positive impact. It sucks.

That and the "well I ALWAYS knew because..." and then some complex backwards logic to it where yeah there might be some subtle thing but you have fucking hindsight on your side.

It can be hard to admit that you're just hurt by it

Safety first, make sure if you pass out from it you're not going to bash your head in the process and get concussed.

Drink plenty of water too. Getting dehydrated and a dry throat from gasping sucks.
