i was going to use the talk i gave about ffx two years ago as my first foray into converting my case studies to video but unfortunately i've "improved as a writer" in the last two years and am now sitting here and completely restructuring it 🥲

idk when i will internalize the valuable lessons of "it is okay to be upset after a traumatic event happens and you cannot just work through it actually" and "it is important to do creative intake in order to maintain creative outputs" but god i hope it's soon.

separate thought, but i do think silksong is really instructive in terms of How to Get Good at Soulslike Combat. the trick here is to only pay attention to the placement of an effect and not the entire duration of it. silksong wants you to learn to trust yourself and your choices.

I had to entirely re-export this. I drew it nine years ago and the files were corrupted.

It was funny opening up the old files and seeing how different my priorities were and how many basic mistakes I was making.

This sequence was my baby back then and I remember being so proud of it.

started a new (mod-less) run of silksong bc its bewitched me Body and Soul and am proud to report that (1) the bird arena and (2) the fuckass savage beastfly both gave me SIGNIFICANTLY less trouble the second time around. i am, as the kids say, getting good. ish.
