Im involved with several groups and the most impact I have had was when I focused locally. I still be out there tho

I agree with geography as a reason because Western states have too much empty land mass to feel that impactful. Sure, bigger cities can, but it will never look like that. Something in DC very well could accomplish this desired effect. And no kings fed the soul but yielded no real change.
