Continuous exposure to the fine particles in wildfire smoke is similar to smoking half a pack of cigarettes a day.

Protect your health and wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask like an N95 or P100.

Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.

as LA is burning, a swath of the country is recovering from an ice storm, Alabama is preparing for up to 6” of snow and I’m praying for the TX power grid, a reminder:

we don’t need climate action just for future generations, we need it now.

the climate crisis is here, all around us

Today is a good day to start masking again if you stopped. 😷

COVID-19, RSV, flu & more are spreading.

In addition, we are fighting against mask bans in NY and other places. Wearing a mask is a great way to show solidarity and show support for being able to wear a mask.

An NPR investigation found that high-ranking Louisiana health officials ordered staff to stop promoting vaccines for COVID, flu & mpox.

This is unacceptable and must not be tolerated. When political appointees at health agencies prevent public health workers from doing their jobs, it kills people.
Louisiana forbids public health workers from promoting COVID, flu and mpox shots
An NPR investigation found Louisiana health officials told staff to stop promoting vaccines for COVID, flu and mpox, holding flu shot events or otherwise encouraging the public to get those vaccines.

Multiple people have become sick and hospitalized on flights landing in Boston. We need to await more information to fully understand what's happening here, but your regular reminder that one of the most important times to wear a mask is when you are traveling.

Annual reminder: In addition to preventing virus transmission, N95 masks are great for keeping your face warm in the winter! 😷❄️

I appreciate all of you who use the Alt-text description for the images you post. As a blind dude I feel so much more included here.

For those of you who forget:
Did you know there’s a reminder in Settings/Accessibility to toggle on & then it won’t let you post image without Alt-text.

Thanks 🙏😎
