Hello new followers! I'm a car-free mom in Berkeley, California. I do graphic design (for money) and housing/mobility advocacy (for free) though sometimes I get paid money to design housing/mobility related things and that's pretty amazing! Here's a few things I designed

We have had ours for 5 years and I still love it. It is a little unwieldy at times (esp at low speeds) but overall it is more comfortable than other cargo bikes I have tested out

Nice to see that the majority of businesses did not appear to have fear mongering signs in their windows. I did enjoy the friendly people at Berkeley Organic Market, Cotton Basics, and Koraa. There are plenty of smart business people who know that more apartments = more customers!

Went for a little shoppy shop in the Elmwood the other day. I didn’t spend as much as I would have, thanks to some of the business owners who showed me where NOT to go.

Something that baffles me everyday: drivers who are in a BIG hurry and don’t seem to have time to yield to a human crossing the street in front of them BUT manage to find the time to stop, roll down their window, and yell at said human. Does this happen everywhere or just California?

With our relatively mild climate, California is an ideal place to house lots of people. LA is wonderful but there's definitely room to house more Angelenos. Wishing you all the best from the bay area

Right after I typed that I saw a truck pass a car *on the right* that was stopped for a pedestrian in a crosswalk on Hopkins. Drivers are reckless on these wide ass streets
