These dudes are living in the 18th century and trying to drag the rest of us back with them. Why on earth does NYTimes waste so many resources on this junk? The rage clicks can’t be worth it.
libeltheband.bsky.social
This is not a, “Wow, this dude is crazy!” takedown. This is a, “He may be extreme, but he makes some good points!” piece. It’s dripping with homophobia disguised as religious conviction.

Who decides what makes God angry?

Why on earth is @nytimes.com allowing Douthat to mainstream this guy and his ideas? www.nytimes.com/2025/10/09/o...

ICE is not only chasing down every random brown person in Chicago, they have a cameraman following them to film this for social media. Cruelty and inhumanity as content.

Discount Goebbels: Don't call us fascist.

Also Discount Goebbels: Can I introduce you to my buddy who thinks the Nazis were the good guys?

From Donald Trump's Roundtable on Antifa just now —
"Antifa has been around in various iterations for almost 100 years in some instances, going back to the Weimar Republic in Germany."

The White House Antifa Roundtable is one of the best displays I’ve seen of this-is-how-bad-it’s-gotten — just a sewer of open fascism, dementia, morons and freaks, and incoherent rage.

He seems nice.

Border Patrol's Gregory Bovino: "We need reasonable suspicion to make an immigration arrest. Notice I did not say probable cause, nor did I say I need a warrant? Perhaps you look panicked when you see a Border Patrol agent. Perhaps you look scared ..."

So they scare people and then can arrest them.

Incredible.

Jack Posobiec references the earliest version of antifa -- the anti-fascists in the Weimar Republic who were opposed to the Nazi Party -- as the bad guys.

Jack is a Nazi, and has been committing voter fraud.

Jack collaborated with neo-Nazi twins to make a documentary. He was a fan of white supremacist Richard Spencer. He has tweeted 1488, the alphanumeric code for Heil Hitler. He wrote an unreadable anti-antifa book. Last year he wrote a book abt the left called “Unhumans.” That he’s now speaking here…

A really old trick conservatives use is to accuse liberals of supporting an idea that would make sense under liberal values but that liberals don't actually support for tactical reasons. So you face a choice of either accepting the false accusation or you argue against your own values.

Saw a CBS ghoul trying to hound Hakeem fucking Jeffries about whether “illegal aliens get the ACA subsidies” by reasking the question multiple times after Jeffries said it wasn’t true. You’d think he was interviewing a Nixon staffer about watergate.

Stephen Miller said the quiet part out loud. Trump has “plenary authority,” then suddenly went silent. Their plan wasn’t to be public yet. Clearly, someone hit the panic button in his earpiece.

It gets weirder: CNN uploaded the interview with the “plenary authority” comment edited out.

This is the fear.

Miller has a real theory of the case: A latent majority out there can be sleepwalked into authoritarianism with enough numbing agitprop. Polls show majorities reject the autocratic abuses but Miller plainly thinks voters in the middle lack conviction about any of it.

Let me be clear: backpay for these workers is required under a federal law I wrote with former Senator Cardin — which Trump signed — during the last Trump shutdown.

This is just more fear mongering from a president who wants a blank check for lawlessness. It won't work.

not only is the whole "the left is organizing against us" thing just bullshit for suppressing speech and dissent, its also hilarious because if you've spent 10 seconds on the left you can see there isnt the power to organize a bake sale let alone an antifa plot to take down the govt

Everything that's wrong with legal journalism in one New York Times headline and pie chart.

If all these "legal experts" are so shocked by the threats to the rule of law, maybe they're not the experts we should be asking in the first place.

All of this was foreseeable. Many forecast it.
NYT headline: "Bow to the Emperor: We asked 50 Legal Experts About the Trump Presidency." Pie chart showing over 50% of surveyed legal experts saying that Trump's second term has posed "much more threat" to the rule of law "than I expected."
