I read McKean's 'Arkham Asylum' when it first came out, and it broke my 15-year old brain. Comic books weren't supposed to look like that.

I've wanted to read this for some time, and it was worth the wait. I love Nash's WW1 paintings ('The Menin Road' especially), and McKean (who I also love) is on great form. Some of the pages are just eye-popping, and repay close attention. #Booksky
