Day 6 - Sweet Cinnamon Spice Masala Chai
I have this in one of my other gift boxes so already knew how it tastes. I like it well enough but probably wouldn't buy it on its own.

Day 4 - High Mountain Oolong Tea

It's lovely! Flavorful and aromatic. I had half of it plain and the other half with milk&honey. Both were fabulous.

Day 2 - India's Original Masala Chai. I added a little bit of homemade honey and that's all. It was amazing, probably the best chai I've ever had. It would be fantastic with milk but I'm glad I had it mostly raw.

I need to share my joy somewhere and I don't post anywhere else so here we are. Husband gave me a tea advent calendar last Christmas and I finally get to use it!

Today is day one - Himalayan Green Tea. It was delicious!

We showed up soooo late but still got 15 minutes of walking, hootin', & hollerin' in Littleton, Colo. I don't know the person in the Yoda shirt but I loved the whole look.

Now that I'm being bombarded with Mother's Day emails and texts from all my regular vendors, I cannot stress how much I appreciate their thoughtfulness.

I've always tried to take time for appreciation but it's more important to me now because there's a greater chance of losing all the things I appreciate.

I reference this Far Side cartoon so often these days. Before this year, I thought of it maybe once every 18 months, or so, and now I think of it once or twice every 18 hours.

Here are some things that have made me happy this week. I'm sharing in the hopes that one or more makes you happy, too.
A creek that was recently icy has thawed and is flowing merrily from under a bridge in the background to the bridge that the photographer is standing on. There are large rocks in the creek, some of which can be used by people who wade in the water on hot summer days. Greenery is beginning to flourish on the banks. Mud, tufts of brown grass, and sand also line the banks. Blue sky is reflected in the water under the background bridge. Googly eyes stare at passers by from a scar on a tree. Not a scare, it's far more funny than frightening. One scoop of cinnamon ice cream on top of one scoop of Mexican chocolate ice creams in a cake cone because I am good at life. The delicious double decker cone stands on a faux marble table top.

A tall pinkish-apricotish-with-gray porous stone stands left of center in a bed of soil and grasses. Two evergreens, possibly different types of spruce, and a tall, leafless deciduous tree are in the background. The sky is overcast. New apartments along the Birds & Bees walk for pollinators. Brown plank walkway with a wall of stumps, bark, wool nests, wooden birdhouses, and sticks. Birds can use padding in the wall for nesting material or they can move into pre-built homes while cracks in the log ends and stick stacks provide safe spaces for solitary bees and other bugs to lay eggs. Fish lips. A mottled black and orange koi (carp) breaks the water with its mouth and nose, or what passes for a nose in a fish. A cluster of light and darker purple crocus in a bed of dark brown dirt and compost grow in a beam of sunlight.

Behold! My vibrant grape hyacinths.
Clusters of geen leaves that look like grass, but are grape hyacinth, grow among dead, overwintered leaves. The hyacinth leaves are evenly cut on the tops, as if by a lawnmower. It was not a lawnmower, it was a herd of mule deer.

Now that I'm stress eating constantly, here's some of the foods I've stress eaten in the past 24 hours so you can stress eat vicariously.

I took a walk yesterday in one of my old stomping grounds and for half an hour, I was at peace and curious about the world around me. I'm incredibly lucky to live in a place that provides plenty of grass to touch.
