Good decision. If most left, the media/societal organisations etc. would have to follow them. Cannot understand why people stay, they can even see now how it has further enabled the power/influence of far right. You stay, you just ensure its survival and become part of the problem.

Today we were in the city of Nazareth, Jews and Palestinians, to raise a voice for an end to this genocidal war in Gaza once and for all! We’re on the streets week after week fighting for the future of everyone on this land. We cannot stand by and let these horrors continue.

Greta Thunberg provides the perspective that most western media will not:

It’s not about a few hundred foreign nationals being mistreated by Israel for a few days.

It’s about the #GazaGenocide, deliberate denial of aid, and Israel’s flagrant breaches of international law.

Greta Thunberg speaks to the press after being released from illegal detainment in Israel: "I could talk for a very, very long time about our mistreatment and abuses in our imprisonment. Trust me, but that is not the story.”

Today marks two years since Hamas’ October 7 massacre and the start of Israel’s assault on Gaza. We asked Palestinians and Jews on our team how they felt about their home then — and how they feel now. To see the full post, click here shorturl.at/msoVq

Good article and decision. Left over a year ago, as could see people staying was further enabling Musk & the far right agenda. Was hoping a mass exit would leave Musk and co. with less power/influence but sadly many stayed. Cannot understand why, moreso when we can even see what has happened since.

Dr. Jane Goodall filmed an interview with Netflix in March 2025 that she understood would only be released after her death.

Trump hates to be the object of humor. He understands that humor can be a more powerful antidote to tyranny than any other form of criticism.

I'm sure he'd hate it if you shared this cartoon. [Cartoon by Jon Adams/The New Yorker]

It's Nobel Prize week! A good time to remember that the economics prize was created by Swedish bankers in 1968 (67 years after the 5 original Nobel prizes) against the wishes of the Nobel family, partly to legitimize neoclassical economics in the public eye and partly to help banks avoid regulation.

Rescued as a tiny 5-month-old calf from the Chyulu Hills in 2016, Esampu now lives completely wild, but continues to maintain the bonds with her human family that sustained her through her most vulnerable years. She chooses when to come and when to leave - exactly as it should be.

A cartoon from my new book, 'Physics for Cats'. Out next week: www.tomgauld.com
A scientist stands in front of an enormous contraption
"I created this device to test my theory that our entire reality is a simulation, but the readings I'm
getting suggest something much worse"

 "What?" Asks a second scientist.
"We're living in a cartoon!" Says the first.
"Does it at least have a good punchline?" says the second.
The fiorst scientist carefully looks over the data, then eventually replies "Nope"

Zack Polanski’s response to the Manchester terror attack has been a masterclass in mature statesmanship.

Soulful, human, eloquent, empathetic, nuanced, confident and focused on healing.

And bold. It has shone in contrast to so much weaponising or ill thought through commentary.

Thank you Zack. 💪

Inordinately proud of my dieffenbachia. When I got it, it was small enough that I thought it looked a bit silly in the plant stand that my grandfather made. Had it nearly two years now. Still not dead. 😊

Wonderful plant stand. Extra special that your Grandad made it too. Quality.
