When the president of the United States disseminates a doctored photo to baselessly accuse an individual of criminality and thereby justify their egregious mistreatment, the correct response is not to say this doesn’t matter bc it’s not occurring in court. It’s part of the harm.

The administration is misrepresenting documents that are publicly available. They are relying on people not bothering to read them, or purposely misreading them, and this is the media aiding in that cynical and anti-democratic task.

The Trump admin has just detained Mohsen Mahdawi, who:
–has green card
–was Columbia Buddhist club president
–saw his best friend shot & killed by Israeli soldier
–said "we are against antisemitism because antisemitism is a form of injustice, and injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere"
