Some have rightly pointed out that the Executive Order to combat antisemitism is numbered 14188. These nazis are so uncreative.
NEW—I've obtained the letter received by 60 colleges + universities from Dept. of Education re: Title VI/antisemitism.

"The prior administration remained tepid, either reaching toothless resolution agreements w/ schools or allowing complaints to accumulate. That state of affairs ended on Jan. 20."

The DOGE guys didn’t just make one $8B mistake in their savings list — “they are getting it wrong with alarming consistency”

They don’t seem to understand how these things are calculated.

Rep. Joe Towns (D-MEMPHIS) let loose about Trump implying the law doesn’t apply to him.

Fascinating profile of a park ranger in San Francisco who works with unhoused residents and has adopted the novel tactic of treating them like human beings, building relationships, and helping them access resources on their own timeline.
Her job is to remove homeless people from SF's parks. Her methods are extraordinary
Instead of forcing people out of Golden Gate Park, ranger Amanda Barrows helps them find housing.

The measles outbreak in Texas is reminding me of the public letter Roald Dahl wrote about losing his daughter to measles in 1962, just before the vaccine was publicly available.

When I was a Hill staffer in 2009, a Dem trifecta was trying to pass universal healthcare. In response, Senate GOP released a memo detailing all of the tactics they in the minority could use to delay the effort as much as possible. I'm recirculating that 2009 GOP memo here. Take inspiration from it.

As Jesus famously said, Love thy neighbor a bit less than thyself
I mean yes, there is such a concept in Christianity. It appears quite notably in the letters of Paul, for instance, where it’s a concept he *relentlessly* argues against, and in the Gospel where it’s a concept Jesus very much repeatedly scorns. So it is technically in there!
