Hard not to think this is a concerted campaign to close down rural ERs....and yet rural Albertans keep voting blindly for the ones who are hurting them the most.

This is an addiction treatment policy that could only have been concocted in the addled noggins of obtuse people who support abstinence-only sex education.

They also appear to know nothing about addiction treatment at all.

Or the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, frankly.
Alberta says it will build 300 beds of forced treatment. Jail but without due process. Anyone can say you should be locked up and in you go.
This is extremely disturbing because people who use drugs will likely use once they're out and risk overdosing.
