This was from my back steps, looking west. I could almost see it with my naked eye, which is why I stopped and got my camera out right away. I usually look from the driveway. But the sky looked faintly pink, like a leftover sunset. It might have been better but for the school just 3 doors down.

So I did manage to catch the northern lights, from my driveway. In a suburb of St. Paul, MN. Plenty of light pollution. This was night before last. Didn't see anything last night.
Here's what I saw on Tues. You can see Orion in the aurora, with Orion's Belt near the center.

How about books waiting for shelves? 🤔 Alas, I am all out of wall! Tips appreciated. 😅

Just sold! This is one of the books I started my account with almost exactly 2 years ago. I have not retired any books. Yet. But I'm thinking about it. So if you have your eye on something, or are looking for something particular, go now! Link in previous post ⬆️

The ONE and ONLY thing the bird app got right.
Because it never gets old...

Happy Birthday to me!

Meanwhile, I'm sitting here packing up orders of lovely children's classics to go to a new home. They also picked a classic about justice. And fairness. And morality.
Even with all the craziness, I am always excited to see books like these go out to new homes.

Took a look at the stump yesterday and this thing somehow got fried! So glad it didn't come down in a storm.

That's how close the houses are. Mine is on the left. So most of it landed against my house. 🙄 And I can't touch it. Deathly allergic to walnut.

My neighbor finally took down a walnut tree that has been wreaking havoc on our house and yard for years. But she only paid them to drop it. So they left quite a mess.
I can't touch it, as I am highly allergic. Hoping she comes over to clean this up soon!
(That's my pine tree, on the property line)

Just got an update from the hospice nurse. Things are progressing rapidly. She expects it will now be 24 to 72 hours. Not responsive and BP and heart rate dropping.
I wish for her a peaceful and easy path.

Oops forgot the photo!
All of these are for sale! If you are interested, let me know. The Forsyte edition and the Zane Grey are both very rare. I could only find one of each online (and the Forsyte was in Australia!). I don't want to put these on my Pango, and I don't have time to do Etsy right now.

First up, I have this Noritake Japan covered casserole, from the 1970s, in the Wild Ivy pattern. In good vintage condition, no chips, one crack.

I did the thing! If you are in the Twin Cities, eastern Minnesota or western Wisconsin, come on over to North St. Paul! It is a bona fide old downtown, with bars, a bookstore, and antique shops!
I have put some things on consignment at Specialty Floral, where the front of the shop is all vintage!

Beautiful sunset last night over Keller Lake in St. Paul MN.
Unfortunately, this is brought to you by wildfire smoke wafting down from Canada.
*okay it is actually not "wafting" it is riding a cool front

This morning's view.
End of life prep work. Paperwork. Tidying files. Phone calls. Jumping every time my phone rings.

Wow! Okay, I didn't realize they went that far east. A quick Google was very interesting! So yes, you apparently are on a path. Neat!

Woo hoo! Someone just loaded up on some awesome fantasy series from my Pango shop! They got the His Dark Materials trilogy, 3 titles from Earthsea, and Hitchhiker's Guide! What fun in store!

There's still lots more left, including first signed editions and many genres. Link in bio, baby!

It really does! So pretty, makes the words prettier, right? 😅

Yep.
The idea that we have fair and free elections? Ha.

Okay we all know about the medicaid and snap stuff. And that's bad enough. But what about the ramifications in the courts??
What about those first six or seven items? Nobody is talking about those.
Yeah they are not sexy like literally killing people, but they are the start of a police state.
