Yet ANOTHER reason (if we needed one) to cancel Disney, drop Disney+, vacation elsewhere.
If you, at this point in history, are booking a vacation at Disney World or Harry Potter World, I strongly question your ethics, your morals, your empathy.

Wow.
Is this what Kentucky wants?
A Kentuckian wrote to GOP state Rep. TJ Roberts to criticize his bill to force all local law enforcement agencies to enter into 287g agreements with ICE, and he sent her back this video superimposing himself over Trump saying "quiet, quiet piggy." In case you wanted to know reaction to Trump's line

The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.

If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.

Another example of the pot calling the kettle black. More projection.
Do we see it yet?

See, no one mentions this. I watched a clip of Kushner in an interview yesterday, and he bristles when this is brought up. "Are we really doing this?" Like he is somehow immune to any consequence for his actions.
That man should be in jail. Never have I seen such a self-satisfied face.

NO PERSON in the United States should have to do without healthcare.
The eyes of the American people seem to be working just fine and they see health care costs rising when they get their bills each month. They know which party holds a trifecta.

I am eating this up. Seems that the consensus for earliest use of fae is a book from 1985. Which i find fascinating!
Obviously I will be perusing all of my folklore books over the weekend, especially Kevin Crossley-Holland and the like.
This has brought up a question I actually don't know - when did the specific form "the fae" become so popular in English?

OED has "Faerie" going back to Spenser, "fey" as "fairylike" in 1823, and there's obviously "Morgan le Fay" from French, but can't find much for "the fae" til quite recently!

They were okay with Trumo openly taking huge bribes in clear quid pro quo exchanges. They were okay with his statements that he could do anything he wanted. That they would never have to vote again. That any woman who asks him a question he doesn't like is a piggy.
Can everyone take a moment to realize that MAGA was ok with Insurrection, sexual assault convictions? They were ok with turning the military around on its own citizens? They were ok with disappearing people from plain sight? They were ok with Trump publicly selling American citizenship monetarily?

I used to be able, when I helped library kids do research, to tell them the gold standard was a gov website

I use gov data, directly or indirectly, every single day. Census. Poverty levels. IMLS.

Never used to worry abt it, it would always be there. Now? I download hoards like a rabid chipmunk
The U.S. government is now inarguably spreading medical disinformation that is going to kill babies preferentially.

Period.

This is an INTOLERABLE. UNPRECEDENTED. DANGEROUS. ATTACK. ON ALL OF US.
