It's good to know this because 30% sound like a big number. This can significantly affect the environment. Instead, throwing the food in the trash, we can use it in different way like use overripe fruits to make smoothies. Also, only cook what we need to help avoid waste. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

Organic is gold standard. However, be careful with artificial colors. There is a simple rule to go with " if you can’t pronounce it, don’t eat it". Every choice you make matters. 🥦💪 #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

One barrier that I can related is lack of self-regulation
behaviours. When I'm stressed, starving, or in a hurry, I just grab anything that taste good, or near me, without thinking if it's healthy or not. I need to change this by preparing healthy snack like fruits, for healthier choices. #beh353

One thing that I learned this week is that overdosing of vitamins and supplements can be harmful instead of beneficial for our body. For example, too much vitamin C can cause nausea, too much vitamin D can cause kidney failure, too much vitamin A can cause liver damage #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

Sweet potatoes are my favorite. Knowing this vegetable is high in nutrition makes me choose them more often. However, I usually have fried sweet potatoes. I'm not sure how much nutrition is lost in this. Next time, I'll switch to boiled sweet potatoes for breakfast or a snack to be healthier #beh353

I was excited to do the 24-hour food recall since I'm bad at tracking my intake. It was easy, and I believe it’s accurate because I wrote down everything I ate in detail. I was surprised to see that I barely had main meals, instead I snacked a lot throughout the day. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This post very makes sense! Most people usually write down a big health goals before they started it, but this usually make them feel too hard to reach causing them to give up halfway. So, starting with small goals and building up each day is a better way to succeed 📈.

For carbs, I mostly consume refine grain in my diet, but from now on I plan to change to whole grain at least half of my daily grain intake, to obtain more vitamins and minerals from it. Since carbs are the main energy source, so choosing healthier one is a good choice. #beh @beh353.bsky.social 🥞🍚🧇

One thing that I will look for when reading nutrition resources is the type of the resources. For example, I will look for peer reviewed articles with strong evidence based information including data, not articles with poor information.
