The groundbreaking photo op is standard. But what was uniquely delightful about attending this Genentech event was hearing about the pivotal role played by the NC Biotechnology Center in paving the way for the company’s selection of Holly Springs for its first new facility in 20 years.

But she has some good qualities too.
Wake County District Court Judge Christine Walczyk announces she’s running to replace Allegra Collins on the NC Court of Appeals. Walczyk, a Democrat, is also a former law partner of state Sen. Lisa Grafstein. #ncpol

SB611, which I filed with @NatalieforNC, would let people renew their license online twice in a row - saving up to 1M DMV appointments per year. Responsible governing - on the long list of DOA bills that could have improved people’s lives. We will keep fighting for it. #ncpol
Today, Senate & House Dems held a Bill Funeral for the over 700 bills Republicans buried without debate this session. No hearings. No votes. Just silence. In one of the most unproductive sessions ever, they chose obstruction, but we’re fighting back. #KilledInCommittee #ncpol

I need to know if @rosehoban.bsky.social made this jam herself?! Best tax/contribution letter I have ever received.

Happy New Year! I am grateful and excited to start my new term in the NC Senate, representing southern Wake County. :) We know 2025 will present some unique challenges, but we will face them together.

North Carolina’s 2.5% corp. income tax rate is the lowest in the country. Cutting it to 0% by 2030 (which current law does) = shooting ourselves in the foot.
Corporate profits soar while NC's needs go unmet. 7 in 10 North Carolinians say no to more tax cuts for corporations. It's time to prioritize OUR priorities, not greedy companies.

Is there a word that means pathetic and outrageous at the same time?
Griffin is asking the R-majority Supreme Court to throw out 60,000+ votes, mostly from people who didn't put an ID number on their registration forms and likely weren't given a chance to fix that #ncpol
JUST IN: Republican Court of Appeals Judge and Supreme Court candidate Jefferson Griffin is asking NC Supreme Court Candidate to intervene by Monday in his race. He currently trails Allison Riggs by 734 votes.

Congratulations to Senator Sydney Batch and Representative Robert Reives on their election and reelection as Democratic leaders in the Senate and House. They are visionary leaders who reflect NC’s bright future. I look forward to working with both of them to build a safer, stronger state.
