Working out frustrations by walking. Wandered 7.5 miles today — yeah, frustrated with current affairs has that effect on me.

I enjoyed the view of Lake Wilma as we sat in the back of our Lyft heading back to our hotel on Belmont this evening. A successful Chicago shoe shopping trip.

I’m enjoying The Cumin. The hubs is having The Skywalker. We have the entire restaurant to ourselves.
The Cumin in a short glass, made with vodka, tamarind puree, ginger, fenugreek, and cardamom powder, black salt on the rocks. The Skywalker in a martini glass is bourbon, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, bitter truth. And two waters. A good start to the day in Chicago.

Despite Covid, I ventured out for a walk today. Had to test out the camera on my new phone. The zoom is great. Do you see the little bee on the top flower?

My Great Recipes Strikes Again.
The hubs has COVID, and I’m stuck with kitchen duty this week. Tonight is Cashew Chicken, My Great Recipes Card No. 91 in the chicken category.

A bowl of chicken (marinated in sherry, cornstarch, garlic, and curry powder for 15 minutes) mixed with sautéd mushrooms, cooked in heavy whipping cream till reduced, topped with cashews and chopped parsley, and served over long grain rice.
