I understand. I think people like Mills, Bernie, et al., could be/should be serving as mentors rather than holding the job.

There are other people making moves to potentially get in the Maine race. Nothing wrong with a robust primary to sort it all out.

I am, despite the fact I’m nobody and am enamored with their policies. They’re doing fine until they’re not, and when they’re not, it’s affects millions of people, not just them, as we’ve seen from the 3 who died this year with a razor thin margin in the House. Age matters.

If she wins her junior senator seat, she will be 79 when sworn in for her 6-year term. Life expectancy for females in the U.S. is 81.85. Three House dems died in just this year. The last 8 to die in office were all dems.

In matters of sex, I always assume some hyperbole is involved when it comes to initial age, number of partners, and ease of “scoring.” 😉

Oh, I’m sure STIs were rampant. HIV/AIDS was nonexistent. Several friends had abortions; couple others got married after getting pregnant. It was either/or back then.

Because of the lessons they taught, I was on birth control and living in my own apartment as an adult before I lost my virginity.

I came of age in the ‘70s following the sexual revolution of the ‘60s. It was common to have sex on a first date. I dare say some people had sex to see if they wanted a second date. It was not deemed risky behavior.

I’m in my 60s now. Maybe the fathers of your male friends passed the “lesson” along

Average life expectancy in the USA is 82 for women. Chances are better than not that she’ll die in office if she’s 79 at swearing in. There are several people already running in that primary. She’s not needed.

I was the POA for healthcare and finance for both parents. I was trusted to decide whether to pull the plug on my parents, but I was only ever allowed to bring rolls and relish to Thanksgiving dinner.
