Judge Murphy DENIES the motion to stop the flight taking the eight men from Djibouti to South Sudan.

It's "substantially similar" to the relief sought by orders paused by SCOTUS.

The flight is set to take off in roughly 30 minutes.

I had never met any of these people in person and they had no obligation to help me, but they took care of me anyway.

I also met one of my best friends (and ex-girlfriend lmao) on twitter, and I’m a civil rights lawyer in Memphis because of TikTok. So yeah, a few things.

In 1L, I left an abusive relationship. My ex was stalking and threatening me and I felt helpless. I reached out to someone I knew from law twitter, who put me in touch with someone else from law twitter, who found me an attorney who represented me pro bono and stopped the harassment.

It is Wednesday morning. I am wearing my favorite sweater because my office is cold. I’ve had two cups of coffee and a coke. I am angry at the government.

when you use fat as an insult or to suggest someone is a failure or less than or whatever--especially when the person you're insulting is a horrific person for literally a thousand real reasons that have nothing to do with their body composition--your fat friends read that, too!

a reminder, apropos of nothing, that fat people have always existed, will always exist, and that fat people are not and have never been abnormal or unnatural. fatness, like skinniness, is not, per se, evidence of unhealthiness. fat people are not a problem to be solved.

Fatphobia is used to police access to healthcare and public places. It is used to police who is worthy of being seen and who is not. It is used to harm and other.

Unlearn it.

Fatphobia is part and parcel of transphobia, racism, ableism, and all other forms of bigotry.

The difference is that so many of us have so deeply internalized our body composition as a measure of our worth. When people belittle, humiliate, and discriminate against fat bodies, it's a signal. It's

June why would you do this to me
A stack of all of June Bates’s books with the spines aligned. Four of the book’s titles line up in a neat row, but her most recent title, Supernova, is about an inch off
