This seems… uh… very bad to me.

There are skills involved in reading entire books that you can’t practice by only reading excerpts: skills around attention, memory, and synthesizing large amounts of information.
You'll see this article posted a lot today. That's only because everyone should read it. www.nytimes.com/2025/12/12/u...

It’s probably bad that I feel dead certain we’re going to get scored on every time we pull our goalie, and then get proven right.

Great journalism, and similar to my experience with Trump-loving family members when I lost my job contracting with the federal government.

My hot take for the day: it’s stupid that wrapped comes out in early December. There’s literally still a whole month left in the year. It means your December listens are never counted.

Under Trump, the NIH is giving fewer grants to fewer scientists. The grants awarded are smaller and scientists have less time to spend them.

Projects in cancer, diabetes, aging, neurological disorder, and more are going unfunded.

This is a hot take of mine, and I say that as a fan of sports in general (I studied exercise and sport sciences) and hockey in particular.
sports at universities should be treated like every other extra-curricular: they get their share of the student activities budget just like the drama club and the movie club. if they want more, hold a bake sale.
