I did. I said I'm a constituent who believes this secret police force terrorizing our communities needs to be defunded. But I know you'll not take that position & do the right thing, so do not increase their funding & insist on your "reforms" or NO vote on appropriations.

Did you know Illinois courts are not subject to FOIA/public access to records laws? Now you do. Here's why you should care & a bill to follow:

Boutros Boutros-Kitty. I had him for 18 years. It's never long enough.

He also had a blocked urethra emergency while I was out of town. Thankfully, he was at my parents' and Mom took him directly to the emergency vet.

It is shockingly hard to track down a list of all the See & Sew patterns that feature former Charlie's Angel Shelley Hack.

You know it's late on a weekend, when I'm convincing myself that if I buy a bunch of cotton, I'll make a bunch of binding and Hong Kong finish my garments from now on.

(I won't. And I'm not going to buy a bunch of cotton. But it would be fun to be that person)

reskeet this with your home river.

And having answered so I turn once more to those who

sneer at this my city, and I give them back the sneer

and say to them:

Come and show me another city with lifted head singing

so proud to be alive and coarse and strong and cunning.

I just sort of kludged these together but that work for me.

I'm happy with how it turned out, except I was right that I don't like that fabric as an actual garment. Needs hemming, but I think I'm going to put a band of velvet at the hem and cuffs.

Now that it's done, I think it would have been a better use of the raincoat vinyl.

Well the flaps on the patch pockets defeated me, so no finishing the coat today. Fortunately, the fabric is SO BUSY you can't easily tell how bad those pocket flaps really are.

things to do this week to not "waste" the time off:
1. re-pot those plants which need it (side note: anyone want some swedish ivy?)
2. finish that coat toil
3. finish Furious Hours
4. socialize
5. entertain the cat
