I can’t get over how beyond despicable it is to detain street vendors, people that keep our streets vibrant and safer because of their presence. Street vendors are some of the most vulnerable and visible yet we are being told their detainment is to keep us safe. Ridiculous.

You can be the safest, most attentive driver in the world and still pose a massive risk to other road users. That’s because cars and car dependency are inherently dangerous.

This doesn’t mean you’re a bad person if you drive, but I do think that drivers should acknowledge their role in this system.

If he can leave the phone home (or locked in his car), he should. If he's going with people, they should have a pre-arranged meeting site a good distance away should they get separated. Do not talk/engage with cops or counter protestors. Move away from people urging him to attack first.
