Hi! I'm Llewellyn and I'm a medical illustrator and comic artist! I love texture and atmospheric horror.

Hen and Frog.

Ink and gouache on Fabriano Medioevalis, 95 × 64 mm.
Drawing in black ink, primarily in silhouette, of a hen startled by a frog leaping out from a small cluster of ferns. The hen's comb and wattle are the only touch of red gouache.

have been desperately looking for this old erotic Spanish comic I stumbled on almost 10 years ago called "El secreto de Frankenstein" and I'm so happy to report I finally found it

the first minute and a bit of a project i've been working on for several years now!

Or, the Modern Prometheus is my adaptation of the bookends of Frankenstein that i've made by cutting together public domain films and footage. it started as an experiment and i'm extremely excited to share it!

i found this one surgical film from 1929 that was about the surgical repair of a bullet wound to the bladder, and they showed the entry wound and the poor schmuck had gotten shot in the ass. like damn imagine you got shot in the ass and nearly 100 years later ppl can still see your shot up cheek u_u

a few weeks ago i sent my dad a draft of the full cut and his first comment back was "you have gene kelly in there." turns out gene kelly did several films for the navy during ww2 including one im using clips from, Combat Fatigue Irritability, and i just didnt recognize him at all :')

im so excited about all of the things i found and watched while working on this project. a documentary from 1924 about england's race to the south pole, surgical films from the 20s, rabies PSAs, questionable russian experiments, a finnish army instructional film from the 40s, and so much silent porn

the idea for this film actually first started as a challenge to myself to try and make a short film using only public domain footage as an exercise in editing, and then i was like, what would be a good, narratively relevant story for this film made of stitched together pieces...
