You would not believe how many stories like this have been popping up over the last ~5 years

Not just full games cancelled—entire characters and plot lines removed or changed, leaving less time for making the *rest of the game better*, to try avoiding a small and malicious contingent of voices.

It’s really hard to describe to people who are not artists how survival mode does *not* inspire creativity, as the myth would have us believe. It suppresses creativity as you try to limit every possible risk – and the opportunities that come with them.

Even with the freedom LBW and BotW gave you, I never felt like I reached the end feeling like I completed the game "wrong" lol but I did with this, I only ever get that from Immersive Sims or CRPGs! A NINTENDO game made me feel like that!? That's an accomplishment!

I've been working on an essay about The Struggles of TTRPG Outreach and Fandom but I think this tumblr post just captured the whole sentiment im like 100 words.

Fact: Apart from pure recognition factor, one of the major reasons your fanart gets more eyes on it than your OCd is because people are perverts for narrative context, and your OCs don't have any.

Corollary: you don't actually need to write a whole-ass graphic novel to achieve that narrative context. You do need to know what your OC's story is, but once you do, you can literally just draw contextless snapshots from that story that raise more questions than they answer and people will fill in the blanks.

Happy 40th anniversary to the truly outrageous #Jem, which premiered on October 6th, 1985. Even though I did like the Misfits more (their songs were better, even the theme song said so) Between Jem, She-Ra, Golden Girls, & ThunderCats, 1985 sure was a formative TV year for one little gay Gen X boy.
