Probably third in the all-time list of guitarists I've nicked riffs from. RIP, sir.

For almost exactly a year I have owned this wonderful thing. But… it's strictly one in, one out at the moment and it never got played enough to warrant its spot on the rack so it's off to a new home later.

I may have seller's remorse. 😿

I am sorely tempted by these Jet 7-strings (because cheap, also non-pointy) and I have zero qualms about the super simple control scheme… but if you only have two controls on a chug-box why put them so unbelievably close together?

I can't work out if "Thundersnow" should be an early 80s show about a one-off AI milspec snowcat and it's ex-cop-turned-vigilante driver OR the next Roland Emmerich disaster B-movie…

either way, I'm available to write the theme tune

You're all moaning now, but shonky DNS will be the thing that saves us from the AI apocalypse. Mark my words.

First time I've bought myself a factory-fresh Gibson… and it has one of the worst cut nuts I've EVER seen. String spacing is wonky (D & G too close together), the D binds and the low E buzzes in its slot.

In the case were QC cards from both Gibson and Andertons. Good job, everyone! 😂

A non-functioning pile of parts with vague potential. (But enough about me, here's a guitar I'm putting together.)

Have been working on a tune for about 6 months, rehearsed it dozens of times, and only now (while trying to configure a click track to record it) have we discovered that no-one really agrees where the 1 is.

Halfway down this BBC article is a quote that struck me:

"The Holocaust has filled us all with a high sense of guilt, and so it should because we were complicit. But it also teaches us the lesson that we mustn't be complicit now when we see crimes being committed."

Apple Health just notified me that my VO₂ max stat has changed from "Below Average" to "Above Average" this month… despite zero change in my levels of exercise.

It turns out the secret to my newfound vigour is the "average" changes quite drastically the moment you turn 50.

Just finished Kim Stanley Robinson’s “New York 2140”. Weirdly joyful for a post-climate disaster narrative. Best thing I’ve read in ages.
