Gorgeous day on the patio, warm enough for shorts. I treasure every second of it.

@hunterw.bsky.social my own experience September 2015 at Guadalupe Island on a research trip. Sadly, tourism was getting out of hand and behaviors were changing, so they have had to pause these trips.

What an inspiring day being in Douglas County for #NoKings. Never expected this size crowd to marrch through Castle Rock. Peaceful, honks of support and very little counter protest. (Like 5 people and a couple cars doing circles)

Broken ankle, broken ankle, broken ankle! I don't know how the Bluesky algorithm works, but if you are out there, like or comment about your journey! First vacation 14 weeks post op. It's about management of expectations!

So you are telling me you find that more compelling than this fundraising email I got just this minute? Pssh crazy. We all know it's way more exciting to hear someone talk about possibly stopping someone THREE YEARS from now

Boycotts and Blackouts are as much a soul cleanse or anything. But also, organizing is messy and takes time. Today is a start, the plans through July could take hold and be a message. But I don't see a downside to participating.

Also I can't believe your fundraising emails are still running with this. Please get serious.

Just shut up. This is the trope used against marginalized people, and even children being bullied, since the beginning of time. The victim doesn't need to change their ways to please the bully! Wrong again New York Times.
I swear, @jamellebouie.net is the only redeeming thing you publish.

Shiny object or not, this is the only proper response in the article.

Yesterday's False Spring in Aurora CO was fleeting, but after 68 days inside recovering from a broken ankle, I was able to sit on the patio with a glass of iced tea and then had a grilled steak for dinner, so I'm happy!
