As much as I hate this timeline, I feel we are also at the point (maybe past it already) of protesters singing "Do You Hear the People Sing" while waving American flags. Ideally within 20 yards of ICE to see if they get the reference.

Tonight I seek comfort in the courage and words of Edward R. Murrow some 50 years ago. Like many others he cautioned against the reality many of us are now living. He also saw the duty and obligation of those with a pulpit to hold the powerful to account.

I listened to this yesterday, but watching the video just now hit different. I think Ezra Klein is speaking not just an astute observer of politics, but as a husband and a father who's scared to death about the wave of violence that's about to crash over our heads. I don't know what to do either.
"I had friends say to me, look, we can oppose political violence without whitewashing this guy. I spent some time thinking about that over the weekend...and my reaction honestly is that it is too little to just say we oppose political violence."

Just caught news that both the VA and the EPA are terminating union contracts. Impacting around 380,000 folks.
While presumably not 100% of employees in those departments are in the union, what happens when all of those unions folks go on strike? Just wondering 😉
