It’s currently operating totally outside of our constitutional rules. Habeas corpus , due process of law, equal protection, freedom of speech, 4th amendment protections against search and seizure, are all not being enforced in any common sense or meaningful way.

I think all the time about how hungry we would have been without access to food aid. Welfare is how I survived my childhood. To subject kids to hunger because, what? Because both parties use the poor as an electoral punching bag. We’re not even people to them, we’re just rhetoric and statistics
