Quite apart from it being unworkable and maybe against human rights law (appeal pending!) it’s obviously morally unacceptable that some people could be segregated even if we’ve done nothing wrong. It’s prejudice: literally pre-judging us based on how we were born. No way!

Today’s High Court ruling found trans employees may be segregated in British changing rooms and toilets. I’ve written to my union, @actorsequity.bsky.social , to ask how we’ll be fighting to ensure govt guidance doesn’t permit that. British actors deserve dignity at work and that means *all* of us.
But devastatingly, this ruling also found that trans people may be expected to use a third toilet when at work. This risks outing them, violating their privacy, and is unworkable for many employers. [2/3]
