I presume what happened is that someone wanted to make an animated film a la 'Chicken Run', wrote it and named it 'Animal Farm' BEFORE checking whether that title had already been used. On finding it had, they changed the names of some of the characters, call the film a 'homage' and they were done.

Contrary to media reports Gender Crits lost their case in Peggie versus NHS Fife and Upton and this admirably sets out why. Of course they have the infinite money of a certain children's author to spin this out through infinite appeals and Wes Streeting probably already has plans for when he's PM.

Her managers didn’t handle her case exactly right? Were any of them a HR person? We’ve got people in our org who shouldn’t be there but aren’t touched because we have effectively no HR dept. any more and just a few hours training every few years. I have to rely on none of my staff being a sociopath.
Two ways to read this. One is “she lost on every substantive claim, completely failed in her attempts to ban trans staff from the workplace, and won mild procedural victories against her employers handling of her case”.
The other way is, I guess, “point one is longer so it must be more important”

I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall at FIFA HQ where they brainstormed how to get the World Cup back off Donald Trump until some passing intern, at 11:59 PM, suggested "Why not distract him with another cup? Call it, the Notbel Peace Prize or somethin'?" and they all high-fived.

Most of Jeremy Corbyn’s popularity when he was Labour leader was due to the hysteria of the press attacks on him. When they stopped Jeremy obligingly tripped over his own feet on a daily basis. Good to see the press have learned nothing from that when they turn on Zack Polanski.
