The Epstein Files Transparency Act is a law, passed by Congress on November 19 with an overwhelming vote. Complying with it was not optional. The Department of Justice did not comply.

I want to make sure this is very clear.

That one person can drag us into a war without consulting or even notifying Congress, or our allies, or fully explaining to the American people why this is necessary, is absolutely bonkers.

Reminder that Congress has the power to stop all of this. Where the hell are they?

As a veteran, I co-sign this. War is awful and turns everyone into monsters and victims. War forces us to make terrible choices regarding survival. It makes us killers and the dead, broken survivors fleeing horrible memories. Only in fantasy can war be fun.
My whole life, advocating war has been fed to me as “the adult position,” akin to drinking your coffee black or reading the business section of the newspaper. Let’s be very clear — war is the childish nonsense of impulsive destructive idiots playing baby-brained video games with real human lives.

Professor's pro-tip for anyone with college-age kids: Tell your kids go to class. It's really that simple. If you show up, you'll do okay. You don't have to be smart, you just have to be there. Maybe stay off your phones for 50 minutes. Just listen. You'll absorb something. I have data to prove it.

I can't stop thinking about the purported drug smugglers being murdered by the US military. The punishment for drug offenses isn't the death penalty. This is just bloodlust and men in suits playing with lives they don't care about. It's truly grotesque and gravely compromises this country.

It’s not that we didn’t want the shutdown to end, it’s the fact that millions of people suffered throughout this shutdown and it was for nothing. That’s the most upsetting part.

If I were to defy a court order, I'd be in jail, not building a ballroom.

Reopen government, swear in Adelita Grivala, release the Epstein Files, restore healthcare subsidies, and fund SNAP.

Multiple times this week an idea from another teacher multiple time zones away has made its way into our classroom in a positive, impactful way—and I'm reminded, despite all the other stuff, that doing this work in community matters.

It matters a great deal.

Every activated Guardsman has a family, a job, school, or something that they are leaving to do their duty.

It’s one thing when it’s a war… or a real mass civil disturbance, which those only last a few days.

But to rip these people from their lives for a show… is awful.

THIS is why the immunity decision fundamentally changed American government.
Narrator: Sadly though, SCOTUS has now exempted the president from the founders’ intent to criminalize bribery.
The CEO of a a multi-trillion dollar company went to the White House, openly handed the US president a gift made of gold, and his company got a special exemption to tariffs the president has illegally imposed.

Also, the Founders took bribery so seriously the Constitution bans it 3 separate times.

Here's the thing re: our system of gov't.

The president isn't above other branches.
He doesn't "own" the gov't or the nation.

Our constitutional system of checks & balances is to insure 1 person can't drag the nation to ruin

We the People get to weigh in thru Congress.

Except now. When we don't.

The United States should not wage war against Iran.

Donald Trump’s bombing of Iran is unconstitutional. Only Congress can declare war — and the Senate must vote immediately to prevent an another endless war.

This is a horrific war of choice.
