Recounting my visit to North Carolina’s Road to Nowhere while I work on the first draft of my 1970’s horror novel. I’ve been asking myself, what make a spooky place spooky?

When people are showing off Chat GPT dolls, and you made yourself a real one 😏

This was a really fun project that started with a ten dollar Barbie and a used wooden crate 🖤

Another art journal spread. Basically me after finally converting my old blog on Wordpress to a static author site. What a pain that was 😑

Wanted poster for Ted Bundy. When he was incarcerated in Colorado he was treated a sort of a folk hero after briefly escaping jail. By the time he was captured in Florida after escaping again public opinion had changed dramatically.

One of the eeriest pictures of Ted Bundy I came across while researching him for my novel. It was taken by Former Seattle Times photographer Jerry Gay while Ted was incarcerated in Colorado. He would later escape and commit more murders in Florida.

I’m ready for spring, warm weather, and gardening. While it warms up I’m working on two Substack articles for March with my takeaways from researching Ted Bundy for my WIP.

Happy Economic Blackout! I’m using a homemade body scrub, binging season one of True Detective on DVD, cleaning up the pilling on my flannels, and covering up the logos on corporate swag I thrifted.

Experimenting with making my own patches. I can’t decide if this is funny or grammatically incorrect. I didn’t have enough stickers to spell republican so I had to get creative 🐘

I feel as worried now as I did in March 2020. Reading through the executive orders made me feel sick, and I fear whatever comes next.
