What is Trump’s announcement? Wrong answers only.
*TRUMP TO MAKE ANNOUNCEMENT 2:00 PM ET TUESDAY: WHITE HOUSE

The best part about this nonsense is that you can tell, after Newsom’s mocking, that he really tried to avoid all caps and just couldn’t keep it going

Hot take: NYC should pass a law that only immigrants or kids of immigrants should be allowed to be mayor.

If there’s anything the Democratic Party establishment needs to learn from the Mamdani victory, it’s that we’ve all moved on. We want more than the milquetoast, billionaire-funded centrism they have been shoving down our throats for decades.

Come on, Zohran!!
June 24, 2025 at 2:12 PM
I can’t wait to watch the America First asshats twist themselves in knots trying to justify joining a completely unnecessary war. Again.

“ICE agents…trying to bring order to chaos.” Irony is dead.

Also, it’d be a damn shame if ICE agents’ family were put in danger, like, say, being kidnapped and sent to a foreign gulag.

This is exactly spot on. Ben Shapiro is near the top of this pile along with Peterson/Yarvin. Then your Charlie Kirk tier, and at the bottom are your Joe Rogans. The reason the left can’t compete with this is because there are fewer gullible/stupid/uneducated people to dupe.
There’s a whole batch of these right-wing pseudointellectual grifters whose primary function is performing a stupid person’s idea of a smart person, with the content of that performance being sort of secondary.
Yarvin (and Peterson) are idiots that sound smart but aren’t. They say something like “the epistemology of derivative masculinity is negated by the hegemony of tautological feminism” and chuds assume they can’t understand it because it’s soooo intellectual and don’t realize it’s nonsensical babbling

Right wing media won over young men with the intoxicating message that they are not the problem and they don’t need to change anything about themselves. Democrats can’t compete with that unless they give up on the idea that people should be held accountable for toxic or ignorant behavior.
I have never seen any example of the left "hating" young men that doesn't distill to "refusal to coddle them/insistence on treating them like adults with agency."

You keep thinking we’ve reached the bottom, then there’s a new, humiliating low. Today’s WH performance with the South African president makes me feel like we took the old SNL “Drunk Uncle” sketch and made that guy president.

Americans are about to find out that after steadily losing the ability to afford housing, healthcare, and kids, the only thing holding us together was affordable stuff.

Our primary identity as consumers of cheap, available goods anesthetized us against so much bad policy. And now the jig is up.

Of all the cons this guy has pulled on the American public, probably the most egregious is getting them to believe that he’s some kind of strong leader.

He is the most feckless piece of shit I’ve ever seen hold high office.
Q: “Do you still believe nothing classified was shared?”

TRUMP: “I don’t know… you’ll have to ask them… That’s what I’ve heard… I really don’t know…” 🤷🏼‍♂️

‘ol Pete’s gonna be drinking heavily tonight.

While I hope the catastrophic approval ratings for the Dems light a fire under them to do better, I also wish we could see a separate approval rating for our fighters like AOC, Bernie, and the entire Congressional Black Caucus. The contrast would likely be informative and instructive.

All these years I thought Mitch McConnell was an evil genius, constantly outmaneuvering congressional Dems. Turns out, any random moron off the street could’ve done the same thing.

Death, Taxes, and Alito/Thomas making batshit crazy legal arguments.

Everything about this makes sense if you start from the premise that Trump is a Russian asset working on behalf of the Kremlin.
one thing thats bizarre is that this was very clearly a planned ambush of zelensky, but to what end? supporting ukraine and opposing russia are *extremely* popular. its not only awful but its bad politics for an admin in an increasingly fraught position

The number of delusional people who think that eliminating all of this “government waste and fraud” or “putting America first” is somehow going to magically put more money in their pockets.

Bless their hearts.
February 15, 2025 at 10:21 PM
I think it’s very important to remember in times like this that the left believes in good government and wants to see it work well.

The right, meanwhile, fundamentally believes government can’t/shouldn’t work so their instinct is to cheer on its dismantling.

The irony of this is breaking my brain.
