We didn’t choose the relationship of enmity, but we can choose it and... we must.

Kitana Ananda of Public Eye magazine (from Political Research Associates) asked me to write up a short piece on enemy feminisms and here it is. Thanks to @praeyesright.bsky.social politicalresearch.org/2025/03/28/f...

Not loving the framing here but there's some excellent critique beyond the clickbait title. I've long been critical of the museum trend of making the ancient Egypt gallery the child-friendly one and I'm glad this author is addressing it.
The presumption that children would fail to connect with such diverse examples of culture, and must instead be relegated to the most literal of references, seems to entirely contradict the V&A’s own ethos artreview.com/the-trouble-...

I'm feeling a way about people expressing extra amounts of outrage for some of the words on the ban list for federal grants.

Like yes, they *even* included the word "woman." It's not more outrageous than "transgender."

Heritage professionals, please practice saying no. Be prepared. How will you resist when you are asked to participate? How will we support one another?

I have started a newsletter, which is really more of a killjoy diary so that is the title of the first post. Hopefully, more to follow. Even shorter and snappier if I can manage it.

It will remain free.
