Agree with you both. I think the housing is a pivotal point. Assorted policy positions keep the market inflated and away from affordable. There are lifelong penalties for being trapped out of the housing market especially since neoliberals shifted the public’s focus to having an appreciating asset

"an unblemished record as the [European] trade commissioner". An unblemished record of what, exactly? Neocolonialism, perhaps. While Mandelson was in that post, he sought to impose draconian trade provisions on some of the poorest countries on Earth. He put pressure on them to let EU corporations muscle out local firms and make privatisation legally irreversible, threatening people's access to health, education and water. He sought to force African countries to hand over crucial resources at the risk of widespread hunger.

Rubbing Shoulders With the Religious Right
Oil and gas companies, like most corporations, generally avoid publicly linking their brands to controversial cultural issues. But the corporate
representatives at the ARC event are on the same attendees list as influential religious right activists that have campaigned aggressively, and successfully, against abortion and LGBTQ rights.
That includes a senior vice president with Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a Christian legal activist group that was responsible in 2022 for helping convince the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Roe v.
Wade, the constitutional right to an abortion. The group is reportedly expanding into the UK.
The Southern Poverty Law Center legal advocacy group argues that ADF should be deemed a "hate group because it has supported the idea that being
LGBTQ+ should be a crime in the U.S. and abroad."
Also on the ARC attendee list is an executive with the Canadian arm of Focus on the Family, a longtime religious right group that reportedly helped mobilize millions of Christian voters to cast their ballots for Donald Trump in the recent U.S. election.
That executive is registered for the ARC conference along with the vice president of policy and government affairs for the evangelical activist and political group Family Research Council, which is also designated a "hate group" by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The subsequent doxes linked to and cited some of the 770,000 Discord messages Dylan had collected, which were now accessible to the public in the Unicorn Riot database.S Over the next year, Panic! In The Discord, collaborating with other anti-fascist groups, would unmask a jaw-dropping one hundred members of Identity Evropa.
The doxes laid bare how the fascists had made real inroads with the wider conservative movement, enmeshing themselves inside a network of university groups funded, in part, by David and Charles Koch, the far-right billionaire indus-trialists. One Identity Evropa member was the leader of the Federalist Society on his campus. Another held a leadership position in the Koch-funded group Young Americans for Lib-erty. Another delivered a speech at a gathering of the Koch-funded Institute for Humane Studies. And yet another was a regional field coordinator for the Koch-funded Leadership In-stitute, which trains conservative activists.®

Three Identity Evropa members were exposed as high school teachers, including Kevin Pummill—alias: UndercoverAcademic—who taught social studies and ran the Politics Club at Pekin Community High School in Pekin, Illinois. He bragged in Discord chats that he was indoctrinating his students with white nationalism, giving them the "redpill" on immi-gration, telling them, "We are being invaded" by immigrants.
"We believe that Kevin is entirely unfit to teach children," the anti-fascist author of Pummill's dox wrote.2 "Not only does he promote white nationalist ideas in the classroom, but he's a virulent bigot. His ignorance and intolerance should in no way be tolerated in the classroom. We demand he be suspended immediately and ultimately fired." (Pummill resigned. 10 The other two teachers were placed on leave and eventually fired.)
This wave of Identity Evropa doxes were often done in conjunction with pressure campaigns. After the group Atlanta Antifascists exposed a member using the alias Why Tea, activists called his employer, a prominent tech company, where he had a plum gig as a managing consultant, letting his bosses know he should probably be fired. They also mailed one hundred flyers to the man's neighbors featuring a photo of his face and the words "ALERT: WHITE POWER AGITATOR IN YOUR NEIGHBOR-HOOD."
The dox, noting Why Tea's white-collar job, also included a bit of anti-fascist class analysis. "We hope to dispel the idea that organized white nationalism is largely or exclusively the product of poor and uneducated white people," the dox stated. "The movement has upper- and middle-class constituencies, who are arguably a greater danger due to their increased access to resources and heavier political clout."
One of the more attention-grabbing doxes was of a sixty-six-year-old Identity Evropa member—alias Singleton Mosby WV—named Howard Fezell,12 a lawyer who had served on the board of directors of the

National Rifle Association (NRA), the powerful gun lobby group. Sometimes Fezell had to ask the younger members to help him understand all the latest lingo. "I am an old fart who is out of touch with many new things," he'd written once. "What is a chad? And a manlet?"13
Anti-fascists would sometimes send doxes to mainstream media out-lets, hoping journalists there might write a story of their own, giving the dox wider exposure and credibility. The Daily Beast wrote about Daniel Morley, 14 an Identity Evropa member unmasked by anti-fascists as a Virginia police officer. "Doesn't get more real than cruising around, listening to music, and kicking ass," he'd written on a message board once.
Morley was fired.*
But not every unmasked Identity Evropa member lost their job. A member who went by the alias Nick_Night was exposed as a manager at Boeing, the aerospace company, where he was responsible for overseeing the upgrade of a global satellite communications network. "It is concerning and worrying that Boeing employs a white nationalist in such a role," the group Eugene Antifa noted. Although anti-fascists contacted Boeing about Nick_Night, it's unclear if the company ever fired him. Boeing didn't respond to a request for comment.
Meanwhile, the US military kicked out only six of the eleven service-members exposed as Identity Evropa members. When asked by HuffPost about the white supremacists the military was allowing to remain in its ranks, officials largely declined to answer.1?
Still, as the doxes continued—a pharmacist, a nurse, a realtor, a sheriff's deputy in training-it was clear they were having an impact.

We've always known that the IPA freedoms harder than anyone else could freedom, but now they are in the running to prove that they really do freedom more than anyone else. The free-marketeers at the Institute of Public Affairs are in the running for a $100,000 grant because their marketing strategy in opposition to the carbon tax was just that good.
The IPA has been nominated as a finalist for the Templeton Freedom Award for its "20 Years" of work on the tax, the group;s nomination statement says: "The IPA was the loudest consistent voice against the carbon tax in a time when there were very few dissenting voices in Australia." The Atlas Network website praises the IPA's campaign, writing:
