Every year, people mock this tree. But I love it anyway.

It reminds us that if we stand together in tough times, we can overcome anything.

Merry Christmas from my family to yours. 🎄✨

We just stopped Nigel Farage’s plan to drag Britain out of the ECHR and tear up people’s rights. Farage wanted to scrap Churchill’s legacy and bring us closer to Trump's America.

Charlie Kirk called me a ‘lunatic’ and a ‘prostitute’ and demanded I be deported.

Nothing, *nothing*, justifies killing him, or robbing his kids of their dad.

We don’t know the identity or motive of the shooter but murder can *never* be the response to political disagreements.

We know the threat Reform poses – to our communities, our democracy and our precious liberal values. We know where their divisive, destructive brand of politics could lead.

Other parties can't or won't stand up to them. It's up to us to be the antidote to Reform's hate and division.

At a moment when we desperately need a fragile truce to hold, Trump’s ramblings on Gaza risk having the effect of a bull in a china shop.

The UK needs to make clear that these proposals must be rejected, and that we support international law and a two state solution based on 1967 borders.

Everything Trump does, he makes sure to attack Biden in the process.

When Biden did things in 2021, he didn’t mention Trump at all.

Dems think this puts them above the fray, but all it does is show how bad at politics they are.

Trump is president again because Dems held back!

Today is the first day of LGBT History Month

LGBT+ people have always been part of our societies, but often their stories are hidden and go untold.

This month is an opportunity to celebrate those stories and continue to campaign for progress.

Der Spiegel reports the attack on a Christmas Market in Madgeburg, killing two people, carried out by a man from Saudi Arabia apparently with far right sympathies for the AfD's anti-Muslim agenda. He puts the X owner Elon Musk with Alex Jones and Tommy Robinson as inspiring his journey to violence.

Suspected attacker seems to have used his X account to threaten violence over the last couple of years. Heresays his motive was lack of support for women fleeing Saudi Arabia. Police & platform have questions to answer if many escalating explicit violent threats were ignored. Suspended this morning

Absolutely spot on. As a proud farmer's grandson and a Lib Dem, I am beyond thrilled with the support our party has given to our farmers during this period. The government must do the right thing and u turn on this ill thought yet cruel policy and provide more support to our farmers.
Farmers are facing incredibly challenging times, playing a vital role in combating climate change, revitalising our countryside, and ensuring we have high-quality food on our tables.

While the Conservatives undoubtedly left this government a dire fiscal inheritance, that's no excuse to push more pensioners into poverty as the temperature plummets.

Cutting this allowance will drive more vulnerable older people into poverty, forcing them to choose between heating and eating.

I think Twitter/X could be vulnerable to an ECHR challenge - quite similar to that which the Corbyn Labour Party got into trouble on. The totally broken reporting system [which almost never does what policy says] mean those with protected characteristics [race, gender] do not have an equal service
