I sometimes wonder how rural pubs survived long enough to benefit from drink driving even becoming an option for most people as car ownership increased in the 50's and 60's.

Whatever it is hopefully it's not going to cause any issues when it inevitably leaks into water courses or the water table .

Air intakes on modern cars tend to be exposed at the front of the car (for flow) and low down due to how front ends are designed (even on SUVs). Once the air intake is under water or hits your own or another cars bow wave the turbo will suck in a lot of water very quickly - this is not A Good Thing.
