[1/3] BlueSky is a short-form platform with annoying 300-character post limit. The easiest way around it: (A) Compose your post in Notepad or something like that; (B) copy and paste it into a new post on BlueSky;

It's hard to see him like this. He is mostly out of it right now, but i'm sure whatever part of him that's still conscious and aware is very confused and scared. The actual cause and underlying issue are still a mystery, all the scans and tests have been inconclusive.

i got to see a complete ultrasound procedure today. its not just a few minutes and a few images, it's a long and careful process and they get tons of imagery... the cat was super calm for the whole duration, he did very well

The cat is very sick, and it's the type of thing I can't leave him alone for. It's very difficult being cut off from the cat health communities on Facebook that I was in. I wish more people/groups on FB were aware of the Meta banwave and would join MeWe and start MeWe versions of their FB groups.

A few days ago I ordered a BricksBiggsFix v.2 for my black and gold guitar to replace the tension roller on its Bigsby B7 vibrato unit. It arrived today, and was super easy to install. I'm very happy with it... Before and after pics:

the "Following" feed is not working on BlueSky at the moment from my laptop. It flashes a "There was an issue fetching posts. Tap here to try again" message a bunch of times, then changes to "TypeError: r.countGraphemes is not a function"
it seems to be OK in the phone app though. WTF is happening?

The cat found this common sharp-tailed snake in the house a couple days ago. Our property has no suitable habitat, and the neighborhood has tons of stray cats, so tomorrow i'm gonna bring it to a nature preserve out in Woodland.

[1/4] I'm 99% sure that Yahoo Mail put an AI in charge of their spam filtering. I've had the same e-mail address for almost 30 years. The spam filter used to be really well dialed in.

it wasn't as epic as the August show at the Chapel in SF, but it was still wonderful, even in a small club with around 15 people in the crowd on a Tuesday evening... Pink Breath of Heaven... definitely worth experiencing live if you get the chance...

Gina Birch was splendid last night in S.F. Even though she was short one band member due to U.S. visa fuckery, her set was very satisfying and engaging. She got a little help from Miki Berenyi and co. for a few tunes. And I got to experience three bass guitars being used simultaneously for a song.

I made an event listing on MeWe for the upcoming show... Not that anyone there will see it, but it's important for me to get in the habit of doing it for the sake of those marginalized by the Meta ban wave who can't see Facebook event listings, Instagram posts, etc.

One of the very worst things about being a victim of the Meta ban wave is not knowing if/when any of the friends that you are cut off from have died. I just now found out that Mark passed away 5 months ago, shortly after my account was fraudulently suspended. I wonder if anyone else I knew has died.

I am confused about the Last Dinner Party's new album (From the Pyre). Supposedly there are 3 dozen additional musicians playing orchestral instruments all over it, but I can't really hear them. Maybe I hear a tiny bit of them on a couple songs. Why is this? Bad compression during digital mastering?
