I got a picture taken with Steve and Joe Wall from The Stunning years ago in Sydney. I was standing in the middle and said, as the picture was being taken, "I'm between two walls". I get a shiver of regret every time I think about it

If you can't watch the episode this is an article on the story

'A year on, he's got his home renovated and is going to be on TV'
The Irish Examiner has revisited some of the biggest GoFundMe campaigns from last year. This is the story of Cian Murtagh

Exactly this. Steen started her campaign about 2 weeks before the deadline. She didn't really want to get on the ballot, she just wanted to be able to complain and say, "look how they are trying to silence us". She's a right wing/religious lobbyist and has never bothered her arse doing anything else

I would have loved if Steen had been a candidate. For the only reason that her bs would have been layed out for all to see. There is no appetite in general for her politics and there hasn't been for a long time.

Yes, this is exactly what Ireland needed

I could almost guarantee that a good portion of those patriots will have Irish surnames, whose ancestors travelled on boats looking for a better life

@irishtimes.com please change the headline of this article. The person that crashed was driving an electric motor bike. The smallest version of this brand can reach 45kph and bigger versions go over 90kph. They are not "e-bikes".
I hope the young girl can make a full recovery.

The "North Korean style", is confusing. Do they mean they are being forced to cycle and never allowed to leave Kildare?

Not even a bianchi or anything fancy like that. I've done the Ring of Kerry cycle a couple of times (170km) and you will be passed by several people 60 plus on a butchers bike wearing slacks and work boots

I scrolled down comments in the hope someone had also asked this question

The Irish government's original plan was to just mark it with a gravestone and move on. Only for the courageous work of Catherine Corless, these children would have been long forgotten.

Probably sign it at the statue of liberty for ultimate irony

I have never done it and know no one who has ever done it. Did not know it was even a thing people do.
I thought people who iron bedsheets were odd now it's people who wash brand new clothes

So to criticise Israel/Israeli government is anti-Semitic? Surely it's anti-Semitic to equate Israel and the actions of their government as the view of all Jewish people?
I despise the current US government and their policies. Does that make me anti-American?

The Irish government would most likely respond to news like this by buying more sand bags

Richard speaks the truth and the sooner people from USA realise this and begin acknowledge how their country was formed, the sooner it can become everything it thinks it is.
