So true. I had some shrimp pasta with the best carrots I’ve ever had in my entire life (until this very day), in a tiny restaurant in St. John’s, Newfoundland in 2008 & I still
think about it.

I often wonder if the restaurant is still there but I don’t remember the name. 😩🥴

We ended up having a lovely discussion about what makes a great meal and I said for me one of the measures of a great meal is how memorable it is. Think of how many meals you eat that you never think of again. The ones that stick out in my memories mean something to me.

This man looked at me, looked at my plate then looked right in my eyes and said with a deep low voice “Clean Plate Club. Good job”. Then went back to eating his food.

I finish my wings and I’m sipping my drink and start paying more attention. The man seated beside me had gotten his food now and I have never heard a man eat his food so passionately. Well except 😏 but not out in public like this. So I had to turn to look.

So I’m sitting at the counter smashing my wings and they seat someone beside me but I don’t really register it because I’m tearing these wings up so bad that I said to myself “damn you are killing the wings” and I start laughing.
