I got bored, this can at times be dangerous, but this time all that resulted was that I made a #fidget device. 2 binder clips kissing, surrounded by a titanium key ring. 3 modes of fidget, flipping the "handles", spinning the ring, or disconnecting the clips.

Happy (Owl) #Flyday! This is a split-eyed Owlfly, Ululodes floiridanus. Owlflies are in the order #Neuroptera along with lacewings, mantidflies and antlions.

Eight-spotted Forester Moth, Alypia octomaculata. The iridescence visible on the black scales is quite common on many moths that at a distance appear black, looking closer reveals such beauty.

Biscuit update.

While the #TheHissening continues, it does seem to be lessening a little and a new equilibrium seems to be forming in the house. She is somewhat shark-like in her attack patterns (rising from below!) and makes some rather Merv-like noises at times 😂

Introducing Biscuit. We did not plan on #cat #5, but when taking some old medicine bottles to the shelter, Mrs. Lux got chosen and this is her Anniversary/Valentines present. She is very sweet with the peoples, but she is still not sure about the other #FurryWeirdos. 😂

It's amazing how many insects can find ways to blend in with our structures. We also have Mediterranean House Geckoes (Hemidactylus turcicus ) who also blend in ridiculously well with stucco, so well in fact that I call them Ghost Geckoes 😂

(I don't have a photo of one on stucco)
