Sadly, I agree. I just had a listen to the whole album. It all sounds clichéd & tired. Maybe we need to “miss” Swift, maybe I’m looking for depth here. Just not for me. Says she who loved 1989.

“The Life of a Showgirl” is the sound of an overworked entertainer reaching the mountaintop to find something worse than disappointment: burnout. Spencer Kornhaber on Taylor Swift’s latest album:

The singer has everything she ever wanted—her new album suggests that it’s all sort of a drag.

So the alarming part about this isn't publicizing medbeds, which I doubt Trump personally even knows about. The bad part is he doesn't want — or even need — to adhere to reality anymore. He needs his base ready to go to war for him, maybe literally. He is in the endtimes prophecy business now.

An illustration for International Safe Abortion Day shows a woman raising her fist, standing next to another woman with auburn hair who together with the other person is holding a sign that says, “SAFE ABORTION IS LIFE-SAVING HEALTHCARE.”

The bottom part of the image contains text that reads: “INTERNATIONAL SAFE ABORTION DAY.” Below that, a paragraph explains that on September 28, the abortion rights movement unites to reclaim the narrative with the theme “Safe Abortion is Life-saving Healthcare!” The text also calls on allies to join in advancing the right to safe, legal, timely, affordable, and stigma-free abortion care.

“KPop Demon Hunters” became an unexpected juggernaut this summer, and is on its way to reaching the cultural resonance of Disney movies like “Encanto” and “Frozen.” But its popularity hasn’t been limited to children. Parents are eagerly watching the film, too.

Good to see a nearly all women panel on stage discussing Constitutional matters. Tengku Maimun (centre, right) was 🇲🇾 ‘s first woman Chief Justice - I consider her our very own RBG. She jokingly said politicians are the biggest threat to the Constitution - I have to agree! 😅

Every reputable expert I know considers mRNA vaccine technology to be one of the most revolutionary advances in medicine in our lifetimes. Its inventors won the Nobel Prize in 2023. Shutting it down now is pointless self-harm to humanity.

Release from HHS: HHS will wind down its development of the mRNA vaccine development activities under the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA).
HHS Winds Down mRNA Vaccine Development Under BARDA

WASHINGTON, DC—AUGUST 5, 2025—The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) today announced the beginning of a coordinated wind-down of its mRNA vaccine development activities under the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), including the cancellation and de-scoping of various contracts and solicitations. The decision follows a comprehensive review of mRNA-related investments initiated during the COVID-19 public health emergency.

“We reviewed the science, listened to the experts, and acted,” said HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. “BARDA is terminating 22 mRNA vaccine development investments because the data show these vaccines fail to protect effectively against upper respiratory infections like COVID and flu. We’re shifting that funding toward safer, broader vaccine platforms that remain effective even as viruses mutate.”
