I painted my first pet portrait as a gift for my sister. I was worried I wouldn’t do it justice, but I think I captured her pretty well.

What do zenomorphs eat, or do they? We have Alien 7 movies now (not counting v. Predator films), we see the aliens kill and use people as hosts, but never eat, right?

Everyone is talking about the Chicago Bears Arlington Heights stadium stuff, meanwhile I just found out what that intense thud I felt in my place earlier tonight was.
For a moment when it happened I thought somebody drove a car into the building. This was 5 blocks away.

I had to leave the house to pick up winter coats from the dry cleaner, and I’m so smart I decided to tack on a few other errands so I wouldn’t have to run out again this week. 👍
I felt so accomplished and happy to get home until I realized… I forgot to stop at the dry cleaners. 🤦♀️

Finished the Thai miniseries Don’t Come Home yesterday. It’s pretty, atmospheric, and tragic, and has elements of Dark and Haunting of Hill House.

I had an art-related horror movie night and watched The Visitor and Velvet Buzzsaw. Both were ALMOST good, VB won out for the satire and cast.
The Visitor was just, yo, evil wins.
VB was all, ‘consumerist classist art bad and tortured artist something something trope.’ I guess.
