Zuckerberg's attempts at diversifying are almost comically painful to watch. First it was the Metaverse, which failed hard because (shocker) it turned out that VR just doesn't scale well (a polite way of saying that people weren't interested). Then it was AI. Now it's ... data centers?

Something Putin taught us is that the goal of effective propoganda isn't to convince people, it's to create a permission structure:

a) for your existing hardcore supporters to back you; and

b) for those not engaged to tune out because it's all too complicated or partisan politics as usual.
The no-angeling is already in full swing.
