Auschwitz, Belzec, Chełmno, Majdanek, Sobibor, Treblinka, Gaza.

There is no difference.

If you ever wondered what you'd have done if you were alive during the 1940s and you'd known about the death camps, you're doing it right now.

Goliard [GO-lee-ard]

Has anything great happened in your life because of social media?
macmuiris.bsky.social
That depends. Are you a rich white Republican?

Contempt of Congress.

As we've seen again and again, it's not super effective.

No shit I'm furious. I spent eleven years learning to write well about complex topics in ethical ways, often for criminally low rates, because I believe that work's important. It's deeply insulting to see a total dipshit get fabulously wealthy for telling the rich what they want to hear!

What the fuck are YOU talking about?

There's not a jail in the country that would lock him up. He's phenomenally popular, and deservedly so.

I'm pretty sure the president has never even been in a casino.

If I start a blocklist called "Yankbots" and start adding the people in these replies so we can save people the pain of dealing with this nonsense how quickly do you think the wetwipes that moderate Bluesky will suspend me for it

The Americans are at it on French political posts too! 🙄

Ah. We appear to be minus a government.

If America makes it to its equivalent of the Nuremberg trials (it's already been through its equivalent of the rallies) then this harridan is in the top three verdicts I'll be watching with particular interest, right next to Miller and Noem.

President Jabba seems to be in one of his regular dormant phases, probably while he's getting some sort of medical treatment. Here's hoping for some bubbles in his IV 🤞🤞

ACTUALLY I think you'll find that Ireland, if that is its real name, is a BRITISH isle.

Checkmate.

The president is one of the leading moral voices of the 21st century and a compassionate, thoughtful, erudite, eloquent leader who uses the power of oratory to inspire.

The president is a kind, wise and honourable man.

Mary, could I please ask you to qualify your comments re Jim Gavin as Irish when posting about him? He is being confused with Gavin Newsom, and it is such a sh*t show in the states, you almost gave me a heart attack with your recent post, lol. Thanks from a Canadian.

On a completely unrelated note, we should bring back the monocle.

Feargal Sharkey in the other place makes a great point...

"It is difficult, if not impossible to combine the citizens' rights and interests and the private enterprise's interests, because the private enterprise aims at its natural and justified objective, the biggest possible profit."

#water
I was recently reminded that the New River Company, supplier of London's drinking water from 1619, along with a host of other water companies were all nationalised in 1902 simply because, as the former President of the Board of Trade Joseph Chamberlain put it:

"It is difficult, if not impossible to combine the citizens' rights and interests and the private enterprise's interests, because the private enterprise aims at its natural and justified objective, the biggest possible profit."

What changed?

(By "new" I really mean "flare-up of the very same long-term ongoing civil war because reconstruction was a failed experiment and the Confederates should have been erased when Lincoln had the chance." Binding up the nation's wounds without disinfecting them first just encouraged the infection.)

I also have minimal respect for a former Minister for Arts, Heritage and the GAELTACHT who didn't work on fluency while in office but is now promised to learn Irish if elected President.

Nice try Heather.

Back to the actual and current Presidential candidates -with all the Jim Gavin shenanigans of the last 24 hours it may have not grabbed people’s attention that Heather Humphreys just threw trans people under the bus in response to a Grift dot ie reporters question! So there’s that! #aras25 #speirgorm
