Scary response from Noem. So is the US now doing to deport and Venezuelans’ in the country?
FOX: There's huge concern among hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans who are here legally through TPS. Are you gonna force them to return even as their govt is in flux?

NOEM: Venezuela is more free than it was yesterday & it's gonna continue to be that way as long as President Trump is in the WH

And will @pmkierstarmer.bsky.social condemn the US?
“France condemns the visa restriction measures taken by the United States against Thierry Breton and four other European figures. These measures amount to intimidation and coercion aimed at undermining European digital sovereignty”

🚨BREAKING🚨

MPs have voted to PASS our bill to establish a UK-EU customs union.

The Prime Minister must now listen to his own MPs, drop his self-imposed red lines and finally go for proper growth through an ambitious trade deal with the EU.

Is this government trying to destroy the uk?
this is insane
New Home Office impact assessment finds that cutting skilled and social care visas will cost the UK up to £10 billion with a central estimate of -£5.4 billion.

It would be good if this got even a fraction of the coverage devoted to the endless debate about boats, flags and Turkish barber shops

Through his life and extraordinary talent, the immigrant and refugee child Tomáš Sträussler who became known to us all as Tom Stoppard made British theatre and this country a better place to be.

You might even argue that he helped redefine Englishness through his astonishing legacy of work.

This is the remarkable video on which six US senators/representatives with service backgrounds emphasise that those serving should not follow unlawful orders.

What they are doing is stating what the oaths provide.

This should not be remarkable, but it is.

If Trump isn’t “the most openly corrupt president in American history “ then who is? @bbcnewsnight.bsky.social
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

Today is the 4th anniversary of the worst ever tragedy in the Channel.

At least 27 men, women & children drowned in the freezing water, & 4 more have never been found.

Since then, neither we nor the French have done a thing to offer people in this situation with real solutions.

What is wrong with Labour? Instead of a list of achievements, they are creating a list of failures.
This government has not taken a single meaningful step to tackle the causes of the horrendous inefficiencies in the criminal justice system, instead rushing to dismantle trial by jury.

Legal professionals have offered numerous alternatives to address the backlog.

Ministers are not listening.

The government is announcing changes to indefinite leave to remain ahead of its consultation on these measures. Some changes will apply to those in the UK now who gave arrived in the last 4-5 years

It’s not been thought through at all. It’s back of a fag-packet hate stuff, that’s all. Incompetent as well as viciously horrible.
It will also mean people's refugee status will be reviewed every 2 and half years. If this policy was in place now, that would mean the Home Office having at least another 67k decisions to process over the next year (the number of initial decision grants made between April 2023 and March 2024)
